From the villa of Livia, wife of Augustus. The dining room (triclinum), built partially underground to keep it cool, was decorated with a lavish fresco depicting a garden, full of flowers and fruiting trees, foliage and birds. The frescoes are now at the Palazzo Massimo in Rome. 1st Century BC.
The earring pendants are made from silver plated brass, and the glass cabochon is 12mm across. All earrings have sterling silver hooks and come in a sturdy black card gift box.
